  • HEROIN OPERATION BUSTED IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

    Mauricio Yepes, a native of Colombia, was arrested at his home by DEA agents accused of heading a major heroin operation in Central Florida.     Abel "Chololito" Delgado was the co-host of Franchy "Al Palo," a popular radio talk-show which aired in Central Florida on WNUE 98.1 FM "La Mega".     Homero Morua, a Texas native, was arrested and charged in a nine-defendant federal Indictment with Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine, in excess of 5 kilograms. If convicted, Mr. Morua was facing 10 years to life imprisonment. Miguel A. González, Jr., Esq. represented Mr. Morua in the United States Middle District Court of Florida, and at his sentencing hearing successfully argued a downward variance from the federal sentencing guidelines. Mr. Morua's sentence was reduced to 38 months imprisonment.

    Kate Rodriguez was arrested on Interstate 95 [I-95] in Brevard County, Florida, and charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, in excess of 500 grams. If convicted, Ms. Rodriguez was facing 10 years to life imprisonment. Miguel A. González, Jr., Esq. represented Ms. Rodriguez in the United States Middle District Court of Florida, and at her sentencing hearing successfully argued a downward variance from the federal sentencing guidelines. Ms. Rodriguez' sentence was reduced to 30 months imprisonment.
